CBA National Committees

GUIDING THE CBA WITH STRATEGIC ADVICE

With the active support of our members, the Canadian Bar Association’s committees play an important role in guiding our work and providing strategic input. Our Standing Committees advise the CBA on overarching issues, while our Section Committees deal with topics that cross several areas of legal practice.

Standing Committees

At the CBA, we rely on the expertise and strategic advice of our 17 Standing Committees to help guide our core activities. Our Council oversees the Standing Committees.

Multi-Section Committees

Our Multi-Section Committees serve a different purpose. They address important legal issues that cross several areas of practice. These committees include: Federal Courts Bench and Bar Liaison, and Tax Court Bench and Bar, established by National Sections Council and a Children's Law Committee established by interested Sections and Forums.
