CBA Corporate Partners
The CBA has formed corporate partnerships to better serve its members. They include the following organizations:
THE CANADIAN BAR INSURANCE ASSOCIATION
The Canadian Bar Insurance Association (CBIA) offers a full range of not-for-profit insurance and financial services to members of the Canadian Bar Association, their staff and families.
It began as a CBA National Insurance Committee but incorporated as an independent association in 1981. The CBIA operates from its head office in Toronto and maintains its services with a staff of 12.
THE CANADIAN BAR FINANCIAL SERVICES CORPORATION
In 2003, the CBA and Canadian Bar Insurance Association (CBIA) combined resources and expertise to establish the CBA Financial Services Corporation (CBAF), a federal, not-for-profit corporation that provides low-cost banking, financial and investment services to members. The primary goal of CBAF is to ensure that CBA members receive preferred offerings of high quality financial services, including RRSPs.
The CBAF operates from its head office in Toronto with administrative services provided by CBIA.
